Our Story
Who we are & what we do!
We are originally from St. Catharines, Ontario but decided we wanted to make a change. We were looking for a quieter and simpler life full of nature and beauty. So we moved to Barnesville, New Brunswick in 2024. We moved here with our dog Zuri, a Belgian Malinois, and of course our old man, 18 year old cat, Clyde. Riven, the Court Jester of this castle and Chocolate Lab, came along from a fantastic breeder near here in November of 2024. Our little East Coast Retreat is tucked right back into the lush forests of New Brunswick and we are less than a 20 minute drive to the Bay of Fundy Coast.
Life On The Coast
Our little East Coast Retreat is tucked right back into the lush forests of New Brunswick and we are less than a 20 minute drive to the Bay of Fundy Coast. On our couple of acres out here Zuri and Riven have the freedom to be off-leash all day, running everywhere, long walks deep in the forest and on special days, down to the coast to play in the waves and run the beaches. We think they have it pretty good out here. The healthy life we were able to give our dogs here with the freedom, exercise, experiences and ocean fresh air started us thinking about their overall health and how we could improve that ourselves. We have for a long time now made a lot of our dog’s foods for their meals and so we started to look at their treats. Could we make these better? Sure we could, we thought. And so started Bark Brownies.
Farm Fresh Eggs
Our hope is that we have found a treat you will be as comfortable giving to your dog/family member as we are to ours. We only use real ingredients and actual farm fresh eggs from our real neighbours and their chickens, just up the road, Dave and Kathy. The treats are made right in our family kitchen and come baked right out of our own oven. Nothing fancy or big factory here. Mixed by hand in bowls, baked in baking sheets, cut by hand, dehydrated and shipped to you with the date they were baked. These are the treats we really feel you would probably make yourself for your dog/family member if given the time.
